The Franklin County Board of Health works every day to make life better for all of its citizens by protecting public health, preventing disease and injury, promoting access to health care services and encouraging healthy lifestyles. Our goal is to ensure healthy neighborhoods, workplaces and homes, safe
food and water, clean air, protection from the spread of infectious diseases or acts of bioterrorism, and a citizenry that is informed and
motivated to take responsibility for their health.
Susan A. Tilgner, MS, RD, LD, RS
Franklin County Health Commissioner
